Prawn Biryani in kanyakumari style|Shrimp biryani Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Prawns - 1/2 kg Basmati Rice - 2 cup Chopped Onion - 1 Green Chillies - 2 Tomato Puree - 1 cup
Whole spices
Coconut Milk - 4 cup
Dry Chilli - 1 Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper Corns - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp Salt per Taste
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Oil and ghee - 2 tsp
Handful of Mint and Coriander leaves
METHOD:
1. Take half kg cleaned prawns. 2. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp garam masala powder. 3. Add salt per taste.Mix well.
4. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
5. Soak 2 cup of basmati rice for 20 minutes. 6.In a hot pan, roast whole spices along with 1 dry chilli, 1 tsp of fennel seeds, coriander seeds,pepper corns and half tsp of cumin seeds.
7. Once it changed into golden colour,turn off the stove.
8.Let it cool down completely.
9. Once it cooled down, blend it like a coarse powder.
10. Add 2 tsp cococnut oil in hot pan.
11.Then add 2 tsp of ghee.
12.Once it is hot, add one chopped onion and one green chilli.
13. Saute for 10 minutes on medium flame.

14. Once it became light golden colour, add 1 cup tomato puree and 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.Saute well.
15. Once its raw smell goes down, add handful of mint and coriander leaves.
16. Then add marinated prawns.
17. Saute for 10 minutes on high flame.
18. pour 4 cup of coconut milk alongwith soaked rice.Stir well.
19. Add salt per taset and some mint and coriander leaves. 20. Once it started to boil, close the cooker's lid. 21. Let it cook on medium flame.
22.Once the steams are started to came out, put on the weight.
23.Let it cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
24. Tasty Kanyakumari special prawn biryani is ready.
25. Serve hot and enjoy..!
