Spinach Dal Gravy

INGREDIENDTS:


  • Spinach Dal - 2 cup
  • Washed Moong dal- 1/2  cup
  • Garlic cloves- 2, Shallots- 2
  • Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp, turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
  • Oil as required
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Dry chillies -2
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt per taste
  • Asafoetida powder- 1/2 tsp

METHOD:


  1. Turn on the stove and put the cooker on it
  2. Pour some water
  3. Put the washed moong dal
  4. Then add the chopped spinach
  5. Add 1/2 tsp of asafoetida powder
  6. Add salt per taste and let it cook
  7. At that time, let's prepare the masala for spinach
  8. Blend the grated coconut, garlic, shallots ,turmeric powder and cumin powder like a smooth paste
  9. Mix this with spinach and stir well
  10. If you want extra spice, add just a bit of chilli powder
  11. Stir well and Allow for  4 whistles until all the raw smell are goes down.
  12. Open the cooker once all the steams are came out
  13. Turn on the stove and put the small frying pan on it
  14. Once the pan is heat, pour 2 tsp of oil
  15. Once the oil is heat, put the  mustard seeds.
  16. After the mustard seeds are crackled, put the dry chillies and curry leaves
  17. Add this in cooked spinach dal and mix well
  18. Delicious spinach dal gravy is ready
